Recession Getaway

With my favorite holiday on its way (summer) I would like to fill you in on one of my recession Get -Away secrets. The Summer is def a time to relax and recharge ones battery. With no one wanting to break the bank during these tough economic times but with our wonderful president telling us to spent money to rebuild our economy I've come up with quit a good compromise.
Take a weekend trip trip to Philly! Just last weekend I took a trip to Philly for my older sister's Birthday, and if you didn't already know Philly is the New New York! With all the great restaurants, shopping, sights, and sounds Philly has to offer you will be pleasantly surprised and on top of that remain within your budget.
I visited a pretty cool restaurant by the name of Continental that specializes is international foods with a twist. I sampled the most delectable twist of a Philly cheese steak....A Philly egg roll. It's just like a chinese egg roll but it's stuffed with steak, cheese, onions, and peppers. And the price wasn't to shabby either.
Our next stop on the list was Walnut Street which is basically 5th ave. SOHO and the Village mixed up into one glorious strip. It had all my favorite stores on every corner plus (God must have been on my side) every store had a sale!
The night life in Philly isn't to bad the music id flaming (Philly slang) and the drinks are cold. The only problem with the clubs in Philly is everything closes down at 2AM which for someone born in the city that never sleeps is well a little silly if you ask me. But what can i say not every city can be as good as NYC!
